This song is taken from Gungor’s 2012 Live album ‘A Creation Litrugy’. Gungor, formerly named The Michael Gungor band is a worship group centered around Michael Gungor (surprisingly) who is backed vocally by his wife Lisa Gungor, currently they reside in Denver where they lead a church community named Bloom. On ‘Heaven’, Gungor goes fully into the blues style that so heavily influenced the original recording of this track. Having studied Jazz guitar at two separate Universities, Michael Gungor more than knows his way around a guitar and so as a listener, it’s a delight hearing a song where the musician worships God by their instrument instead of their voice.
